Greetings!

If an experience of the Catholic Church in light of the principles of Vatican II and its mission of inclusivity, where all are welcomed, resonates with your heart…join us!  If the theologically evolutionary movement of the Spirit of Jesus at work in our world, whose goal for humanity is to be united in love, stirs your heart, we invite you to worship with us and to make St. Hildegard Catholic Community your spiritual home.

Hildegard was canonized a saint and made a Doctor of Church only in 2012. There are a total of thirty-five doctors in the Catholic Church, but of that thirty-five, only four are women. The beauty and mystery of the sacramental nature of the church must be relevant for the twenty-first century, and openness to women as equals is essential.  St. Hildegard’s incredible talent, intelligence and remarkable life lived in faith, is an outstanding example of her prophetic voice and vision for the Church.  A woman ahead of her time-preacher, teacher, abbess, composer of music, poetry  and books, a woman of science, profound visions, and a theologian devoted to the Good News in Christ—serves as a model and guide for our new community.

Please take the time to immerse yourself in this new community; we welcome you and we will pray with you and for you. Let us support one another in our combined efforts of renewing our church.  Together, let us joyfully acclaim Jesus, and celebrate in the Spirit of the Holy One as we build a strong and welcoming community.

On a personal note, I look forward to sitting down with you for a cup of tea or coffee and getting to know you! I am also available for other sacraments and pastoral needs outside of our bi-monthly Eucharistic celebration.

May the grace and peace of Christ Jesus be with you.

In loving service,

Rev. Maureen
